On 7 and 8 November, we were at the 5th International CIO Conference in Santiago de Compostela as silver sponsors.

Over these two days, we had the opportunity to listen to leaders from different industries and discuss the revolution that technology is driving in companies. We also talked with the people who approached our stand about how to deal with the challenges it brings.

Among the talks at the Conference, attendees listened to Tino Fernández, Altia’s CEO, at the round table “Corporate governance: without technology, there is no strategy”. He was accompanied by Fernando Lucero, Former CIO of Iberdrola, and Alfonso Jiménez, Partner of Exec Avenue. They shared their views on the importance of having technology and the challenges it brings when outlining a governance strategy.

As Tino Fernández put it: “A CIO is highly skilled and used to solving complex problems, and can be on board bodies to help more traditional boards, with more financial, economist and legal backgrounds, in that migration".
