The company is present at the Turistec stand showing its concept of Smart Hotel to attendees.

Altia is one of the 7 companies that will accompany Turistec during the celebration of Fitur, the largest tourism event held from 23 to 27 in Madrid. Turistec, which forms the International Cluster of Information and Communication Technologies applied to Tourism, aims during the Fair, to promote its work as a dynamic platform, which contributes to generating business opportunities, the exchange of knowledge and, in short, the promotion of the activity of the tourism sector.

Altia will participate in Gold sponsorship with other companies of the Cluster and will show during these days its concept of Smart Hotel based on the implementation of different technologies that pursue the double objective of achieving an efficient management of the business, as well as an improvement of the image of hotels towards customers and their satisfaction.

Large Smart Hotel projects

The Spanish company has participated in major Smart Hotel projects with the main Spanish hotel chains. Among the projects are the implementation of Digital Check-in and the introduction of smart bracelets in the hotels of the Piñero Group that allow to streamline the management and improve the user experience, the project to create the electronic file through digitization and storage of documentation in the hotels of the Chain Barceló in America or the development of web portals with content managers.

Altia has also participated in booking centre projects such as the design and development of an integration with Iberostar's centralized booking system for tour operators' bookings in 75 hotels in the Americas and the EMEA region. This scanning process allows you to read documents (invoices, booking notes, hotel reservations and transfers) from various sources (email, extranet, document scanning) to make possible paperless management of the organization.

Technological innovation in the tourism sector

“Altia is proud to share experiences and promote innovation in the tourism sector through our collaboration with Turistec. We believe that Fitur is the ideal setting to check how technological innovations are providing solutions of enormous value both from the point of view of hotel management and from the point of view of the client,” highlights Óscar Muñoz, project manager of Tourism in Altia.

The 39th edition of Fitur is the global meeting for tourism professionals and the leading fair for the receptive and issuer markets of Ibero-America. In this edition it hopes to surpass the figures of 2018 in which it broke record participation with 10,190 exhibitors from 165 countries/regions, 140,120 professionals and 110,860 general public visitors.
