Most companies have been, or are, immersed in digital transformation processes, with the aim of digitizing and automating their business processes, as well as implementing paperless solutions. Once this point is reached, the next steps will be aimed at:

• Implement system of document governance: what is the purpose of each document? how different types of documents relate? what is your retention policy? etc.

• Creation of custom workspaces per user. Instead of having a single view for each user in the organization, based on the user's profile, interfaces will be built that allow access to the most relevant functionalities and flows for their daily work.

• The integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools into document management processes can provide advantages such as unstructured text analysis, natural language processing, automatic classification of documents according to their content, generation of automatic texts, etc.

• Once the document management platform has been established, it is important to incorporate the documentary assets into that platform. However, the trend will be to avoid heavy and tedious migrations and replace them with indexing and search systems that can locate any asset, regardless of where it is hosted.
