Drive and enthusiasm. Endless enthusiasm. This is how we started our adventure 30 years ago, at a time when we could not have imagined how much technology would grow and expand as it has today. Thirty years in which the more things have changed, the more they have stayed the same: we are still a united group of people, able and willing to drive our clients’ digitisation and giving their all every day.
Altia was founded in 1994 in an office with 3 people. Three colleagues who decided to launch a business project in IT services and consultancy. Since then, Altia has not stopped welcoming new people.
On our 25th anniversary in 2019, we talked about having 14 locations where over 1,000 professionals were working on projects for 500 clients; today we can say that Altia has offices in more than 25 locations in 9 countries, where over 3,500 professionals apply their innovative vision of technology to relevant projects for organisations that are drivers of change around the world.
Forming a group
The last few years have certainly been exceptional. We have gathered more strength, people and talent than we could have ever imagined. Noesis joined Altia in 2020, which allowed us to expand our territorial scope to Portugal and broaden our portfolio of solutions, improving our international reach. Founded in 1994, this is a solid company with a sound track record, which brought a team of over 1,000 people and offices in different parts of Portugal, Brazil, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United States.
This is how we began to elevate our Group as an alliance that allows us to lead, connect and explore. A Group that would become even stronger when Bilbomática and Wairbut arrived in 2022.
Wairbut provided us with a wealth of experience in the public sector, especially in areas such as defence, interior affairs and public health. Not only was this an opportunity to forge synergies to drive our clients’ digitisation, but we also gained a team of 170 highly qualified people.
When Bilbomática joined, we cemented our position as a key partner. This company broadened our portfolio of solutions and brought a strong presence in European agencies, technological vision and even more connections with public administrations.
Growing by spurring growth
We don’t know where we will be in 2054, but we do know one thing: we will continue to drive growth for our clients and our people through innovation and technology, evolving together and making the most of the opportunities to build our future together. We will continue to empower people through technology, focusing on ESG criteria so that every day we will be a little better than the last.
