Altia and Tracasa will provide IT consulting services and support to the European Environment Agency for the construction of the Reportnet 3.0 system.
The consortium formed by Altia and Tracasa has been chosen by the European Environment Agency to carry out the implementation of Reportnet 3.0. At the moment, the project is in a first phase focused on the detailed design in terms of business, information systems and technological architecture. This will require project management, solution architects and analysts, prior to the work done by the software developers. Subsequent phases will include software construction, documentation, migration planning and user training.
The Reportnet system was originally designed in 2000 with the aim of replacing reports by mail and email. In 2018, the European Environment Agency (EEA) conducted a study that analyzed the current system in terms of architecture and related business processes.
Reportnet 3.0 will allow member countries of the European Economic Area (EEA) to provide information to support the formulation of the EU environmental policy.
The European Environment Agency (EEA) is a public body of the European Union whose mission is to support the EU. in the development and implementation of environmental policy by providing relevant, reliable, specific and timely information on the state of the environment and future prospects.
For its part, the EEA provides the independent scientific knowledge and technical support necessary to enable the Union and the Member States to take appropriate measures to protect and improve the environment as laid down in the Treaty and in successive Community action programmes on the environment and sustainable development.
