From 8 to 12 April, the IT Week 2019 was held in Valencia and Alicante, in which Altia actively participated as a collaborating company.
Pilar Herrero Rosa, Altia's project manager, participated in the conference on IT Strategy in Public Administrations her presentation entitled “Management of Services in Public Administrations”.
During her intervention, Pilar highlighted the managed services model by analyzing the pros and cons for both the suppliers and the administration itself.
She concluded by stating that “The road to an 'everything as a service' model is underway. According to Gartner, whose experts estimate that 80 per cent of the new technological solutions adopted in the public sector will be under this model”
Throughout 4 days, the headquarters of the Stock Exchange of Valencia and the ULAB of Alicante served as a meeting point for professionals, companies, researchers and users of the IT sector.
The main motivations of the event are to promote a space for the meeting of ICT professionals in the community, to value and recognize the role of computer engineering professionals, to maintain a point of reference for information, dissemination and debate on ICT and its latest advances and to contribute to the development of an ICT ecosystem that supports the development of a society of knowledge and the digital economy.
