Irene Fernández, A Coruña office

1. Why did you choose Altia for your internship?
In high school I was given several options to choose from and the one that convinced me the most was Altia because it is a great company, but at the same time it is not a multinational. Seeing the website, I saw the type of projects it carried out in addition to being a company that participates in many technological advances.

It is an experience that I would recommend to students, in my case it was 6 months being in the dual mode and you really see how you work from a more business perspective, but with much more flexibility while you are learning.

2. How were your first days?
Very well, from the beginning the team would let me know to go for coffee, lunch etc. The first days were a bit overwhelming, but I felt welcomed and integrated even though my project team was in another location, Santiago de Compostela.

3. How was your experience in the AltiaDigitalHub program?
It was a good experience, the first few days I started doing a course since the project in which I was doing the internship had very new technologies that I was not familiar with, and I ended up participating in projects for both the company and customers.

4.- Did you imagine it like this?
I did not come with any expectations, I had already worked in other sectors and it is never what you expect, for better or for worse, so I did not imagine what it would be like, I was afraid that they would not be taken into consideration being a large company, or that tasks I was going to do would be too easy, but it wasn't like that at all, quite the opposite.

5. What do you think you've evolved into?
I learned to "mull things over" before asking, but that on certain occasions it is also necessary to ask, and that companionship is super important.

6.- If you had to define your experience in 3 words, what would they be?
Learning, companionship and positive.
